Camping at Balgal Beach on the Beach Front
Lynda and Sue will be heading to Balgal on Saturday just after lunch to camp the night and come back late Sunday. (There are some ladies from Maggie Island who have said they are going up on Friday afternoon if anyone wants to make it a full weekend.) For those who do not like camping, join us just for a day trip. It's the best weather for spending time at the beach.
BYO everything as normal. There are toilets, fresh water taps, cold water shower and a huge Rotunda with tables and seats available. And for those brave enough to face the cold you can swim in the ocean. For those interested you can fish from the beach and there is a boat ramp near by. It's a great beach and we may get a bonfire on the beach happening after dark.
We can meet at the Bohle Barn at 1.30pm for those wanting to travel up with Lynda and Sue or you can just meet up there.
The Local Townsville Phone and Street Directory has it on Map 5. Travel North to the Balgal Beach/Mystic Sands turn off. (Just before the Rollingstone River/William Crabb Bridge). Head along Balgal Beach Road to the 3rd Turn which is Acheron Ave. Travel till you reach a "T" Intersection and turn left. Turn first right into Justin Street and travel to the end which is the carpark and camp ground. Then stake our claim.

Ten Pin Bowling
Kirwin Bowling.Squash and Indoor Golf Centre 101 Bamford Lane Kirwan. Approximately 6.30p.m. ish
There are plenty of other activities at the Centre for those who do not enjoy Bowling. Or for those not wanting to raise a sweat just join us for the social side of things. Guaranteed there will be alot of laughs. We can go early and have a coffee together before hand and then we can have dinner together afterwards.
For those of us who can be cash-strapped in theses economic tough times, remember with ROSAS you can spend as much or as little as you like. Just coming along for the conversation and social side of things. (That costs nothing). And there is definitely no pressure to participate.
Saturday 26th July -
Party at Sue and Lynda's place at Wulguru.
Sue just loves to cook and entertain. It will start at 7pm and go til the last one goes home. BYO a chair, if you can and a small plate of food to share oh and your own drinks. There is some spare beds and plenty of floor for swags if anyone wants to play it safe and not drive home. Our yard is really big if you want to pitch the tent and join us for breaky the next morning. If you are coming can you please email us at madhouse_3@bigpond.com and we will give you the address.
At our events it would be good if we could wear something purple or rainbow, even if it is a ribbon or tie a purple/rainbow ribbon to our cars as this makes us easily identifiable when people are meeting us at the outings. When it is appropriate the rainbow flag will be displayed or alternatively a purple flag.

Brisbane Diving Divas
The Brisbane Diving Divas’ outing at the Brisbane Pride Fair Day was fabulous! The weather has been windy and cold lately but the visibility for BDD’s membership is very clear and encouraging for the newly-formed lesbian and gay scuba club. To date, over 50 lesbians and gays signed in to be involved in BDD’s future dives and activities. And the best part was - we did not even have to wear our scuba kit and walk around handing out flyers as initially planned!
Inviting unsuspecting passers-by to suck on the pink regulator connected to a CO2 tank was not in our original plan, though. Nor the profane play with phrases such as ‘dive down’ or ‘go down’. Really. But judging by the numbers of people who stopped, giggled and inquired about BDD - the ‘pink bit’ spiel and wordplay proved to be winners. Nonetheless, trust that we will neither attempt to ‘go down’ the sexual subtext again, nor blame nitrogen narcosis for doing so. Promise ;-).
Once again, we would like to take this opportunity to extend our appreciation to all the wonderful people from the Brisbane LGBTI community for opening their arms and welcoming us with so much warmth on our first outing as the first lesbian and gay scuba club in Queensland.
Cheers and happy blowing bubbles!

Just For Laughs
Quick Brain Teaser
Read this question, come up with an answer and then scroll down to the bottom for the result. No one I know has got it right (well, so far at least).
A woman, while at the funeral of her own mother, met a guy whom she did not know. She thought this guy was amazing. She believed him to be her dream guy so much, that she fell in love with him right there, but never asked for his number and could not find him. A few days later she killed her sister.
Question: What is her motive for killing her sister?
Answer:
She was hoping the guy would appear at the funeral again. If you answered this correctly, you think like a psychopath.
The blurb is that this was a test by a famous American psychologist used to test if one has the same mentality as a murderer. Many arrested serial killers apparently took part in the test and answered the question correctly.
PS: If you got the answer correct, please let me know so I can take you off my email list...

Lost Ring @ Scarlet
Did anyone find a small gold ring with 3 small diamonds in it at Scarlet Club on Saturday 28th June?
It is very special to me and I would be extremely grateful if you could return it to me; there will be a reward.
